Use Serial Activation of a PC to the next

    Hi all, I kindly need help.
    I installed XP Professional on a desktop PC, and I want to change the serial activation.
    THE serial activation want to enter, I got a PC Lapto destroyed.
    I already tried to change it, but I always get the error.

    excuse my bad English, but I am Italian.

    Being Italian is not an excuse, it also does not stop you learning & improving your English...

    Read Sticky: VLK and OEMBIOS changer...

    and learn.

    You need to know what version you installed (retail, VL, OEM)

    If it's VLK aka CORPORATE, you don't need activation for XP ;)

    My problem is:
    I want to have the license that I disconnected from a laptop destroyed.
    how do I enter the license without receiving error?

    And what version did you have on the laptop?

    Most likely OEM

    Hence learn about Win XP OEM SLP activation (it is ALL explained in the stickies)

    label removed from the laptop, is as follows:
    Windows XP Professional Acer Incorporated

    How can I tell if the serial number label is OEM or Retail?

    Corporate licenses are already activated in XP for easier deployment.
