my windows 7 laptop was connecting to a windows 2012 server r2 until my raid5 disk that contained all client backups crashed.

after I rebuilt it and put in the needed server folders, I could not change the client backup files path to another drive letter so I decided to delete the client computer.

now, I am unable to connect the w7 laptop to the server. when I use the connector, it says that the w7 is already existing (when it has been deleted in the server).

after a day of googling, one of the solutions I read was to un-join the computer from the server domain, then un-install the connector software. after doing this, I was back to my local WORKGROUP domain.

problem is now when I log-in on my previous log-in account, all the desktop shortcuts are not there anymore!
I even cannot find the restore point I created prior to un-joining the server domain.

how do I fix my local log-in account?

thanks in advance for the help.
