    Hey,

I bought a new harddrive since my old one keeps bsoding, but I installed windows 7 home premium retail version acidentally.

So the question is, is it possible to use the key that's on my dying harddrive to activate a retail copy of windows 7 home premium that I got off the net? From what I've heard, it is, but I'll have to call Microsoft? Does anyone have any experience with that? I was reading the OEM dump but i dont know if you can use it on a secondary harddrive as a slave

    Thanks
