I was looking around the web for ways to backup my iMac to my PC hard drive and I found this guide:

    lifehacker (dot) com/5691649/an-easier-way-to-set-up-time-machine-to-back-up-to-a-networked-windows-computer

I was wondering.. if this is the guide I'm looking for. Will this guide allow me to backup my Mac to my PC? So if I use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone my HDD to a folder, will Time Machine backup the folder to my PC?

If not, are there any other possibly ways for me to backup my Mac to my PC hard drive without the use of an external hard drive?

EDIT: I found a program called GoodSync. It seems legit and I want to ask if it will do what I want (backup Mac to PC hard drive).

I don't see why you couldn't create a new partition on your pc, share that partition on the network, and backup to there, then restore when you want?
