vBIOS extraction out of Insyde BIOS

    -Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Lenovo Y570
    -Bios Revision : LENOVO 47CN32WW(2.10)
    -Bios Type : Insyde BIOS
    -Bios Link : dropbox.com/s/bt148vq5qan2h5k/y570_2.10_bios.7z

    Is it possible to extract nVIDIA's (GT 550M/N12P-GT) vBIOS out of the system's BIOS? Thank you!

    I find it odd that you've been a member for so long yet have only this one post....

    Anyway, are you still trying to do this? I can give it a shot.

    I have attached IQY0210A.zip, which contains what I believe are the two NVIDIA vBIOS files that were in the BIOS you uploaded.

    Out of curiosity, may I ask what you wish to use these for?

    Thanks A LOT. I'm away now, I'll give it shot next week hopefully. I wanted to see if I can increase the voltage :)

    That is great. Can u refere to me how u did this??

    I can read/write python and use IDA pro, but need alittle help PLEASE>>>>

    IF u could refere to some help pages or tutorials, It would be GREAT.

    Actually, you needn't do anything very complicated :)

    IIRC, I simply used andyp's PhoenixTool to dump the BIOS, and then used grep to search the extracted files for the string "vBIOS".

    If you need help, just ask.
