Worked Great for me now . To boot Wim from Ventoy one must put Grubfm_Multiarch iso file in USB & Boot it from Ventoy Meny then Select Win to Boot . awesome Great . Thanks a lot Ventoy Sir for developing such a great tool.
1) The fact that I can quickly just copy/paste the ISO instead of having to re-create the USB Flash Disk every time I want to use a new ISO 2) There was something abnormally good about the installation of Windows! It installed in 1 minute literally vs 5-7 mins when installing it regularly using the same ISO! (yes I have fast Patriot Rage 2 USB flash drive) it was insane! I thought it was not really copying anything when the copying files progress was going so fast but it really did! I don't know what kind of Voodoo magic is this but I love it!
yes the most fastest flash drive is Patriot Rage right now as it delivers speeds same what Pcie NVME states on win10 OS. i tried to buy it online but whenever i tried it goes out of stock thats my hard luck with it . but its a great choice to have this flash drive as external storage device with boot possibility.
Classic flash drives as technology will probably be dead soon. The new generation is basically just a portable NVME SSD with USB 3.1 connector.
But that's what makes them incompatible with most older systems. You'll only be able to boot with modern hardware... Scratch that. I just looked it up... Doh!
I used Ventoy 1.0.09b1 to create a USB 3.1 Bootable Flash Drive (64GB)… I copied a Win10_17763.1158_x64_2020-04-15.iso and a Windows 7 Pro-x64_v20.03.12.iso to this Flash Drive to TEST the menu choices and learn how to use this program… I rebooted the laptop and once the Ventoy 1.0.9b1 menu displayed, only the Win10 iso was available… I rebooted the laptop, deleted the Win10 iso from this USB3.1 Flash Drive… I rebooted the laptop, and once the Ventoy 1.0.9b1 menu displayed, NO iso was available… I then used a different Win7 iso and the same issue occurred, NO iso was available… The Win10 and 1st Win7 iso’s are “Bootable EFI”, the 2nd Win7 iso (Windows 7 Pro-x64-SP1-X17-xxxxx) is “Bootable CD/DVD” The Laptop is Win10_17763.1192_x64 with Secure Boot disabled… Suggestions / Feedback would be appreciated so I’m able to access Win10 & Win7 iso’s from the menu…
@MMIKEE Don't use spaces in the ISO filenames. Remove the spaces in your W7 ISO and it will show up in the Ventoy menu.
