Hey everyone, just downloaded and installed 8 Pro. I love it, but my internet is extremely slow now. My wife and I were streaming netflix last night and it had to buffer every 30 seconds or so. It never did this on W7. I just did a speed test on my phone and my wife did one on her W7 laptop. We both got our normal 5 Mbps. My W8 laptop now gets around .89 Mbps. I tried updating my drivers but it says everything is up to date. I did a in place upgrade because I didn't want to have to deal with moving music, pictures, files back and forth this time. Computer is: HP Pavilion G7-1019wm Notebook Intel Pentium R CPU P6300 2.27 Ghz x2 4 GB Ram W8 Pro 64 bit I have your basic Belkin router from Walmart for about 30 bucks. Any help? Thanks!
Dowload your wifi driver and instal it manually. Windows 7 drivers work as well. Instalation > update drivers pick manually point from disk. This is only driver issue. Had simillar situation on my Asus EEEPC 1215b What kind of wifi card you have in this notebook?
