Control panel stays minimized windows 8.1. How can I maximize it so I can view it? Please do not say click on it in its minimized state coz that isn't working.

    thx

Very weird behavior indeed. Never saw anything like that before.

I have seen occasionally, something minimized that won't do anything when you click it. No idea of the cause, āter a few minutes doing something else, I go check it and then it works.

I assume he's already did that, rebooting the machine as well. That's why he is asking here.

Had that with Autoruns out of nothing a while back, for me it worked to hover with my mouse over the taskbar icon to bring the aero peak up and then right click on the the Peak Preview choosing 'Move' (or whatever it's called on en or other localizations) and holding it to drag back onto Desktop.

you could try to right click task bar and "show windows stacked" or "side by side" maybe it will pull it up
