Virtual PC, windows XP mode does not work on Notebooks??

    it doesn work cos u dont have virtualization on cpu or u have it disabled from bios

    ?? which option in the bios? or how to enable it for a HP notebook ?

    Sorry m8 but intel atom based processors do not support virtualization. All Windows XP mode is XP in a VM connected via RDP to the host

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5450
    • 1.67 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB
    video is
    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

    but still can't figure out why
    it won't let me run :(

    VMWare doesn't require VT. XP mode does

    You must use VMWare. With VMWare you can Install any OS. XP Mode run XP only

    Not totally true.
    XP Mode only comes with XP Pro, but you can run almost any OS in it.
    I've had XP, Vista and SVR2008 running in it, i've got Ubuntu 9.04 installed, but i'm still sorting out. ;)

    Is it possible to run the original WinXP mode 'image' in VMWare or VirtualBox? I guess not...

    It's a NETBOOK, not a laptop/notebook.
    They're meant to be cheap, low weight (and low powered) portable computers designed for casual use.. for things like the interNET.
