When I run XP Mode/VPC on Windows 8 (RTM) I always get an error message telling me this message that XP mode is only supported on Windows 7 operating systems. Compatibility Mode does not work either. When I run the installer for VPC, it gives me a error 0x80096002 - The certificate for the signer of the message is invalid or not found.

Installing Windows Identity Foundation 3.5 does not solve the problem.

Can anyone help me fix these errors?

Did you literally try to download & install the Windows XP mode for Windows 7?

AFAIK WinXP mode is replaced by Hyper-V.

    Enable/Disable Windows Features (Control panel)

WinXP mode for Windows 7 does not work on Windows 8.
