After some problems I got VirtualBox 4.3.2 installed on my Windows 8.1 Enterprise, but it doesn't work at all!

I tried several versions of Windows XP Pro and Windows 7 to install virtually with VB, but all what I got were BSODs within the guest-OS!

Could Avast! Antivirus Free 2014.9.0.2007 have something to do with the no-go of VB on Win8.1 Ent.?

    1. Please explain why you call Avast! crap!
    2. What is your alternative for Avast!?
    3. Please explain how Avast! disturbes the functionality of VirtualBox!

    Thanks for your reply!

very easy: all the AV crap is mostly useless by only limiting your bandwidth, all over system speed et cetera.
alternative for all that crap is brain
I did not say that it actually disturbs but I recommended to find out if it does by deleting it

can you explain the term "sex without condome" please? Where is your problem to do so? Nature back to a few 100 thousends of years came without that useless crap and believe me, mankind will not survive with that crap. If you are too stupid to f*** better go out for a walk or waste your time otherwise.
Sorry for a little bit off topic but I know exactly what I speak about medical-wise

I had to uninstall Avast! and now VB is installing Windows 7, so far without break downs!
I have to say that the problem could also be HOSTS Anti-PUPs/Adware, that I also uninstalled.

So both, or just one of them, could be the cause!

Anyway: thank you, Paul, for your effective advise!

Maybe he means 'It's way more enjoyable', because A/V programs are just a false sense of security.
