    How to run games on Virtualbox that detect that you are running a virtual machine, I know there was a way.

    Why would you want to run games in a VM?

    VirtualBox is not designed for games - it does not even copy with basic stuff very well :D

    If your looking at old DOS games, your far better off looking at DOSBOX, if newer ... they I doubt they would run well in a VM given the reduced graphics performance of the virtual video card.

    There is no "method".

    It would all depend on how the product was detecting it was a VM. There is no single "this is a VM" flag. Could be checking any of the virtual hardware/bios names etc.

    Programs can always detect they are running in a VM (even through timing). Besides, many Games that rely on accurate timing will not run correctly.

    Scope of VirtualBox is not on Gaming, for sure.
