I am trying to run RemoveWAT on a VirtualBox guest running Window Server 2008 R2. Logged in as Administrator, executing RemoveWAT as administrator, the program freezes in the middle and stays there forever. I can only 'end task' it. Anyone else facing similar situation? Any workaround? If the developer of RemoveWAT is reading this... here is some additional info. The program freezes on the third step (progress bar grows 3 blocks and then stops). Hoping to get this resolved soon. Thank you.
Use the "adjusted" vboxdd.dll (ofcourse Windows only), so you have HP SLIC 2.1 & no need for anything else sebus
I found the dll you mentioned and plenty of other info related to modifying VirtualBox bios. The dll that was posted is for 32 bit and it is for the Windows version of VirtualBox. I am using the linux version of Virtualbox. It is possible to modify the VirtualBox bios information using the VBoxManage. But I am not sure if it can modify the SLIC information. I believe we need to find a way to modify the VBox bios. Or find a way to run RemoveWAT without freezing. I have no idea how to do either of those. Need help.
Hmm... Interesting... I had 2 VMs of Server 2008 R2 in Virtual Box. One of them got activated fine while the other one doesn't. Anyway... something is better than nothing. Thank you.
Soon Version 1.0 of chew will be released, peharps in that moment you will have the second VM Activaded.
I hope so. I have only 4 days left for activation. Probably have to do a re-install. Doesn't matter now though. Only the people who know how to 'activate' can solve this problem. I wish I could provide more input.
