Who can list some "standing out points" about "Virtualized performance using M$ vs. Linux as Host"?

-It would be interesting to hear any views from the praxis!
-objective "hard facts, comparing numbers", as well as
    -subjective "experience", ALL welcome!

    Background:
During the recent diversified Poll: "What OS(es) do You use?", I noticed at least 5 members set up, beeing able, to have an opinion... ;)

The time based performance counters on a virtual machine (like processor time) are not reliable. Use the absolute counters and/or the counters on the host machine for comparing performance.
