SO. I am trying to fix a toshiba laptop that was riddled with viruses. Naturally my first thought was to re-install windows. I put in a vista 32 bit dell boot disk and erased the hard drive completely. Apparently this computer will only run vista 64 bit, So now i have a boot disk for 64 bit vista and When I choose the option to install windows, it says it needs the drivers and I don't have them.

I also downloaded the iso files + poweriso for vista 64bit. I tried putting that in also... nothing happens. I'm not sure that I correctly burned the DVD.

If someone could please walk me through fixing this I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you!

Neeeeeevermind. I successfully have installed windows and have finally reached the desktop.

Can someone tell me what drivers I actually need to download from toshiba website to get it fully functioning? the wireless card isn't even working.

what kind of Toshiba laptop are you using? like what's the model number of the Toshiba laptop? you could get that by flipping the laptop upside down an looking at the label there.
