    I want to install 64bit vista(sp1) on a second computer-it has 4gb of ram and a gigabyte p43-s3l motherboard.
What are my best options for getting around activation for the time being?Vista Loader-WoW or a modded bios there doesn't seem to be a modded bios for this motherboard so I'm not sure what the best method would be?

Is being able to update via windows update a big thing even though it has sp1,like critical updates?

Yes they do bypass all windows activation, it is also possible to request SLIC for vista and SLP for xp in same bios mod.

Personally i think that is an insult to the bios modder's on MDF who have done thousands of bios mods and spent hundreds of hours doing it for free. i know you may not know a lot about bios modding but just look at the size of the Award & AMI Bios mod requests 19063 posts:D

I've just installed that BIOS and it seems to work fine.

As for installing vista you can either follow the sticky tutorial on making an OEM CD or use slmgr.vbs to install the certificate afterwards..
