Hi all, on my Notebook (Fujitsu - Siemens) is installed Vista Business (is a bundle with pc, I have the recoevry CD). I need to install the 64bit version legally: it's possible using the same version (and language)? I read a post about creting a OEM DVD copying the $OEM$ dir from existing DVD to the new 64 bit DVD. I can do it with EVERY version of the new DVD (retail, volume) or I need the OEM DVD? Thanks for support!
Thanks for reply, Tito and jackien29. One question: my language is Italian, but DVD is English. Edition is Business?
Just for your information. You can integrate languages into all editions of Vista and 7. The only difference between Ultimate and the other editions is that you can only change it later in Ultimate. Non-Ultimate editions will delete non-selected language resources a few minutes after installation. In other words, if you integrate Italian LP into a Vista Business DVD, You can install a fully Italian version, but you can't change it later.
Just because it came with Vista Business, doesn't mean you can't install a different version of Vista. Your machine has SLIC 2.0 so you can install any Version of Vista and I would use Tito's advice and make OEM:SLP or Multi OEM:SLP DVD or you can just use Daz loader to install certificate and serial number.
He doesn't need the actual vista business edition he can just use ultimate it contains all versions. If you do not enter a product key you will get a choice of what version you want to install.
If he enters his Business key it will automatically install Business. Heaven knows why they had to turn that concept upside-down for 7...
