You are not upgrading but downgrading yes those instructions should work but personaly i would go for clean install.
I would do a clean install, but I have so much stuff on my PC. And, yeah, I know it's a downgrade, that's why I had "upgrade" in quotes.
I would still backup the stuff you need and do clean install ok it may take longer to put your programs back on but it will be worth it in the long run.
