    And these keys (Vista Ultimate) suitable for activation through the Internet? Or only for 30 days.

    These keys are offline activation keys, not online. These keys will provide permanent activation, not only 30 days, with the proper SLIC and certificate.

    Sorry for the late reply, I am busy during the week but I am here all weekend so let see if I can help you. First, install ACPIScope then goto File---->Load ACPI information----->From BIOS. Then give it few seconds to load the info then goto File------>Save as and save it in the default .ats format. Upload this file and we can go on from there.

    Hi,

    I'm a Noob... I have read quite a bit, but yet I still cannot activate VISTA x64.


    I downloaded the appropriate ASUS P5Q Deluxe SLIC 1611 rom

    I renamed it P5Q1611.rom

    I, erased, loaded, and verified loading NEW SLIC ROM fine, and rebooted.
    Prompted to activate...

    I entered the ASUSTek VISTA ULTIMATE OEM key and then even tried the Acer VISTA ULIMATE key to activate, but I continue to receive the same error code:

    0xC004F063

    my configuration

    ASUS P5Q Deluxe mobo
    1611 SLIC.rom
    Intel e7300
    2GB DDR2
    Adaptec controller & 3 SCSI 146GB 15K drives
    VISTA ULTIMATE x64 SP1 plus updates...

    Am I missing something or doing it wrong?
