Wasn't one of the main problems with Vista is that it was Memory Hungry BEAST? I wonder how long it would take for actions considered normal to be completed with that little ram.
which is a very good reason why users should install more RAM into their computers. heck, even Win7/Win8 will not install on computers with less than 512Mb of RAM anyway. besides, most RAM chips are very affordable. permanent solution is to buy and install more memory and not rely on those software RAM patches.
Don't need to tell me that. I have 32GiB RAM (and Win7 64bit). Except that Windows wanted to set a 50GiB Pagefile everything runs very fast. I just can't understand why someone wants to run Vista on 256MiB if it goes VM-happy-trashing on 512MiB, already.
If you intend to use the internet and do some web browsing as well, 1-1.5GiB is the bare minimum even for XP.
