i found out about this some time ago, and have been using it ever since, versus waiting on someone to patch it. its a must have!
So this realy works on Vosta SP1 and the lasts version of the Tcpip.sys? So, wy in the download page says: Vista noSP/SP1(x86,x64) Did you verify the EventID 4226: TCP/IP? Edit: Did not work for me, i have Tcpip.sys v18063. It only works with F8 and disable driver signature check on boot... There's something wrong?
Operating system: Windows XP SP2(x86,x64)/SP3, 2003 Server SP1(x86)/SP2(x86,x64), Vista without SP(x86,x64) and with SP1(x86,x64). Interface language: English and Russian. Download Half-open limit fix 2.5 (529KB).
Current maximum number of half-open connection: 100 What does that 100 means? What happen if we change to like 200 or 500 and etc? and what will happen if we decrease the number to like 60? For your info my dsl speed is 1000 kbps for download and for upload is 300 kbps. So what is the best setting for me so that i can download torrent file very fast. please help. Thanks,
I recommend you to read the wikipedia's page about half-open connections. I've set my limit to 50 - it's more than enough (in uTorrent I've set 25). Half-open connections are only created when doing a connect-request. After a client is connected the half-open connection is ceased. By default uTorrent uses 8 H-O's, and the only difference you will notice from changing it to let's say 25 or 30 is the speed the new peers are connected to. I would recommend you not to exceed 100 - simply because with your connection you would waste on the bandwidth's overhead.
