    Hi!
Im gona help my sister whith her laptop this weekend, and i have some questions:
She have a acer laptop 1.5gb ram (dont know more for now)
    She have Vista basic.
Can i use a clean w7 ultimate and install it on the laptop?
Or do i need some special windows 7 disk from Acer?
If "yes" is the W7 Utlimate or W7 starter the best?
    (its not a highend laptop)

Yes you can clean either at instalation setup or set your bios to boot from the media you use to install

You can use the RTM right here. Use ultimate

If it's got 1.5 ram it should work ok

Installing 7 on it will allow it to breath a sigh of relief - even basic Vista is a resource hog.
