I have a hexaboot VM that has XP/Vista/7/8.1/10/11 in separate partitions. Everything works except for the audio; 'es1371' supports XP/Vista and nothing else, 'hdaudio' supports everything except XP. Having to manually modify the vmx to have audio work on XP, then manually change it back to have it work everywhere else is against the whole point of why I made the VM. Is there any driver that can allow VMware's implementation of HD Audio (whatever that is) to work on XP?
