    searchengine uses BIOS v. 295 from VMware 6.5. VMware 7.0 uses BIOS v. 314.

    Not at all, searchengine's app patches the executable that you HAVE, so if you have 7 that what gets patched (not true!)

    The statement is NOT true, it replaces BIOS resource with 2.95 pre-patched!

    Yes, it DOES work, you just have to wait a bit to actually download

    When i patch VMware 7.0, it replace my v. 314 BIOS with patched v. 295 BIOS.

    I prefer this method also. Seems to fit my testing better, much more dynamic for me..

    They both have a good place in the community...its a matter of taste and need..:cool:

    I'm having problems activating windows 7. I tried installing the certificate but it didn't work.

    VMware 7 Workstation also were tested. (Bios v.314 )
    Bios is working perfectly.

    Updated Vmware bios 314 ... now incl slp 1.0

    Thanks for the 2 bios you posted.
    After extensive reading and research, in these forums and elsewhere, I have learnt enough to update the 314 bios to include slp 1.0 for DELL.

    I have included the tools and instruction to enable anyone to use it with Vmware Workstation 7.0.0-build-203739.

    Verified with Dell OEM XP Pro and Win 7 Ultimate x64.
    Screenshots included in the rar file.

    Many thanks for all the great info on these forums.
