Back in the good 'ol days of XP and even W7, it was possible to see a detailed boot information in "DOS" text mode before the GUI was initialized. In XP by adding "/SOS" to the boot.ini-file and in W7 by checking "Detailed boot information" in the system administration tab (somewhere, not exactly sure, but I did it then.) That check box is still there in W10 but it does not seems to do anything. When using WinAero Tweaker, some boot messages can be seen, but it is basically "Preparing Windows" and som other texts that flashes by. All while in the GUI-mode. Has anyone been able to enable the text mode lines of information?
No, verbose OS information most probably refers to the detailed steps reporting when being on the Windows Loading screen ("Preparing Desktop" and the like). The NT4/W2K-style boot-up screen reporting loaded drivers/devices does not exist after Windows 7.
There is nothing to set, it is being ignored as the feature does not exist anymore (probably taken out because 1. virtually nobody knew it and 2. UEFI/GOP).
