    Hi!

Got a cheap new laptop (old one with W7 and Ubunutu is dying) and drivers are made only for W10, it has no DVD burner, only W10 can handle touchscreen etc. (I hope Ubuntu 19.10 Mate can also handle touchscreen, since I will have dual boot...) So, I can't install W7 and W10 is ever changing, it's really hard to keep track of it all... Moreover, it's AMD's Ryzen 5/Vega 8, so support for it is a must. I did put in more RAM to help matters but...

In the last week or so I had been reading through tens and tens of threads and hundreds and hundreds of posts, tons of download places, reading, learning, testing... On this machine alone this would be probably my 7th installation of a different version of W10, so forgive me for asking for help but I really tried, within my limitations, not being an IT guy...

I mean, now it's getting surreal with all those possibilities, versions, some with semi-functionality (no multimedia package, for instance), freezes (some are rather unstable, for whatever reason - I did try a few...), no updates possible (some versions) or having to decrypt the file in order to use/burn it and so on... All these versions and ways to add packages, multimedia or language or whatever, but then having to convert from various formats and finding out beforehand what is exactly the stuff you need and so on - well, knowing exactly what you are doing is not that easy... In fact, it's extremely frustrating... And then one sees that afterwards some folks found out there are problems with some of these conversions etc. etc. etc. Oych!

So, a simple, honest Q, if I may, thanx to Yen's advice...

What is the latest, stable version of W10 64b, which is:
    - a full or close to "full package" (preferably without MS Store)
    - in GB EN (i.e not US EN, please)
    - LTSC (Long-Term Support Channel, i.e. with updates, not something I would have to change soon)
    - Education (no "Skype for business", with codecs for multimedia etc.)
    - ISO (so I can use Rufus, for instance, to flash it onto a USB stick and install)?

Am I correct in presuming it would have to be something like W10 64b LTSC Education 2018 v. 1809... but not "home brew" (even though we are seeing plenty of "brewing" on these fora :p )? After that I am lost, adrift... :D

Does anyone know if and where this can be downloaded from - pretty please?

Thank you kindly in advance! :)

P.S. A few things I noticed while doing all this...
In W10 Kaspersky Total Security and Malwarebytes don't really coexist with ease, even if you install Malwarebytes after KTS. (Otherwise, KTS wants to uninstall it before it installs...) Better without MB, I think (especially the latest 4.04 version)...
Some issues with iOBit's Unistaller appeared, too... Geek uninstaller portable is simpler and feistier...
In my latest installation Ashampoo Windows Optimiser had a fit, also. Probably with SSD settings mods?
One more thing: Engelmann's W10 privacy tool is better used carefully (not close to "all ON" options)...

Please, read my post with your brain switched ON before writing nonsense...

I asked (politely, with careful explanation) for W10 64b LTSC Education 2018 v. 1809, since I couldn't find it. I asked for it because I read all those threads. Of course, I started from 1909, the latest and it all ended badly. I worked my way backwards and on advice from Yen I decided to go for stability and LT support, hence my Q, as I could not either find what I am looking for or make it myself.

I explained that I would not know what I am doing (I tried with svf story with 1909/1903 - and it didn't work for me), hence I gave up on the idea that I could somehow muddle my way through it, half-blind, as it were....

If I know something I am not afraid to use that knowledge or say that I know. And if anyone asks for help - politely, as I did - I have no problems explaining things I am educated in...

By the same token, if I know that I do not know something, I am not afraid to say it and ask for help. I don't need to play this game of pretences, trying to be bigger than I really am, in something I am not educated for.

Can you, on the other hand, understand we differ in knowledge - even if we are equals, generally speaking? Is it too much for you? If so - please, stay away from this thread and find somebody else to try to heal your superiority or inferiority complexes, thanx...

Firstly, thank you kindly for sharing the info.

Secondly, for a non-IT person, this forest... or a jungle... a flood of W10 types, versions and variants and the copious amount of info as to what one has to do with them to get them where s/he needs them to be, depending on one's HW and needs, knowledge etc. - is simply not very simple and it takes some previous education to manage all that, in a limited amount of time. I am sure anyone fair-minded can actually see it, if they make a little effort. Unless one is autistic... or just an a-hole... But OK...

I took svf.exe and tried to convert an OS but that SVF app did not look like the one that was explained in one of the first posts in that thread and I got stuck fairly quickly, with having to have matching .svf and .iso files etc. to begin with. It made no sense to me, as I thought it would generate an ISO from it... Well, I missed something somewhere, obvioulsy... Generally speaking, a bit more step-by-step approach would work for non-IT persons like myself, if you know what I mean. If there are steps/info missing/presumed, then without in-depth IT knowledge a non-IT person can easily get stuck... Which is what happened to me.

OK, I shall try again with an Enterprise LTSC 2019 64b GB - but the last time I tried it - it just wouldn't let me install it, as I have no DVD in the laptop, as I already explained. Only N version was open to me to install. Why is this bad for me? CyberLink Power DVD tells you, when you install it, that it will not do all it can do, because Windows Media Package is missing (various codecs and whatnot). I tried to DL and install it and it just wouldn't. Which is weird, as previous W10 versions did install it all and did not check for my DVD player etc.

    Anyhow, I keep on strugglin'...

Yes and what exactly does one do with it?

    Version 2.1.13.

I would like to convert Ent into Education ISO... EN-GB. Possible? What with and how, please?

    Damn!

I downloaded the aforementioned Enterprise 2019 LTSC again - and this time it worked, it seems! Rufus flashed it properly to a USB stick and I am installing it on my laptop, i.e. it did not force me to go for N version...

We'll see what happens now... It seems something went wrong before I put it in my laptop to install it...
