I've been on the IP since 100XX builds. And yet, about a month ago I reverted back to a Local account when I heard about the Telemetry bogus that appeared on almost every tech site. Funny thing though is that my "Pro Licence" still stayed activated on 10240. Even after a total wipe of the drive (tried out *nix distros meanwhile as well).

Was this intended or is it just a time bomb ticking away until it's ready to go boom?

Find out if your time bombed, bring up Admin Cmd Pronpt, type winver:D

First off Build 10240 IS NOT an Insider Build and is not time bombed. All Insider builds are time bombed like 10525 or 10532.

Build 10240 is RTM. Type slmgr /dlv and in cmd check the activation status.

It is not. I jumped to 10240 from 10162 about 2 weeks after it was avail to us.

Yea, I was a insider too, but 2 days before RTM was released I opted out of insider program, testing, then downloaded RTM 10240 on top of old Insider image, it stayed activated and not time bombed:D, so I would say your good to go, I believe MS's server's were busy around RTM time and a few slipped through

Good to go as normal, do not go back to being Insider:D

Yes. Same with update. I disabled all bogus options.

Can't remember how long, but after turning off feedback it dropped activation, had to install 7- upgrade. But I have seen people who said that didn't happen to them. So don't worry, no matter what happens, you can have a win 10 free.
