    Update to RTM?

Why still use the RC anyway?

now downloading pro, but still hoping to extend it, loads of software, don`t have where to unload data.
and it will be headache, if i upgrade i guess my apps gone.
if i don't solve it , i`ll do fresh install then, still 12 days left ;]

How big is your hard drive ? If it is big enough you can shrink your existing partition and create a new one to store your data on. Then when you re-install on your existing system partition you'll at least have your data - you're stuck with reinstalling your programs anyway because even though you can nearly always upgrade - even if you need some tricks - you should never upgrade any Windows systems as they end up running like a dead dog.

Why wouldn't you use Ultimate ? The ei.cfg removal tool on these forums allows you to make the DVD so that you can choose which version to install.

There is a tutorial on how to upgrade the RC on these forums but I never upgrade anymore - every experience has resulted in a slow buggy system with conflicts.

The solution is simple: Update to RTM

    PS

By the way - congrats to lightscribe for what I believe must rank as one of the longest posts in history.
