    Hey guys.
So I'm getting a new rig this week.
Can I deactivate my W8.1 key, which I used to activate W10 and use it on my new build to activate W10?

A new rig would have either Win 10 already or Win 8...so why would you need to do this in the first place?? Even Win 7 gets a free upgrade to 10?? Don't see point of your post??

Well, maybe because I'm building my computer myself. It's not prebuilt.

I don't think it has been established yet if MS is locking out Windows 7 or 8.xx keys once they have been used to upgrade to 10. Let us know if it works.

You could follow the upgrade path, install 7 ultimate (activate it with daz loader 222) and upgrade to 10 pro, done, new Digital Entitlement established ;) Or read Yen's thread on how to avoid the upgrade process by using the gatherosstate/genuineticket route (see the sticky threads).

Thanks man, but my question is actually if I can use the same W8.1 key I used on my old computer (which I used to activated W10) on my new computer, in order to upgrade to W10.

To test you could try it, but why use a genuine key when till 29july 2016 you can do it via the "free upgrade for all" way?

But how would I activate W7 or W8 in the first place to take advantage of the free upgrade?
I was looking into KMSpico on W7 and then W10, but who knows if that activation will be permanent.

As long as the hardware stays the same you'll be able to reinstall and activate by HWID/Digital Entitlement till in length of time.

    Thanks Enthousiast
I guess my only fear by doing it this way is if MS decides to revoke W10 activations that came from W7 activated with Daz loader.

They can't/won't, they all have the same key after upgrade and future clean install. But there are many threads already where this is all explained many, many, many times ;)

Daz loader simulates a legitimate OEM license on a windows 7 install. There is no way for MS to know after the fact that it was in use at the time of the upgrade to Windows 10. If they cared they would have killed Daz loader years ago. It is more important to them to have people on Windows than it is to have them legal.
