I have a laptop that I managed to make it turn on when the charger is plugged in. I installed a Dell DW1535C WLAN/Bluetooth combo card in one of the mini pcie slots. Only thing is that this WLAN card is uses SDIO interface. The laptop does not see the WLAN device (it does see Bluetooth since it is standard USB) because of the SDIO interface but the laptop powers on when the charger is plugged in. I am trying to figure out what is it about the SDIO WLAN that makes the laptop power on when the charger is plugged in. The idea is to not use the SDIO card. Anyone have any insights?
