I want to put together a 64 bit oem cd.
Are there any oem specific keys besides the royaly ?
Do I use the same oembios files as 32 bit ?
    Can I create a winnt.sif for unattended install ?

I've been searching for these answers and the "truth" is between them !

would using the msdn retail xp x64 sp2 cd be ok.
just wanted to clarify few steps...
    1. i have original xp (32bit) oem cd with sp2 slipped - based on replies below I can add the oembios files to the x64 cd yes?(or does this depend on SLP key word in bios) thus i need for eg.. Dell oembios files if keywrd is Dell Computer

    2. the x64 oem files DPCDLL.DL_, PIDGEN.DLL, SETUPP.INI the links below has reached limit. i searched but couldn't any links plz post em if u got em... these files aren't oem specific are they??

    3. finally i just put these oembios files , x64 oem files from (step 2) into there respective folders compile the cd and should be good....

if any one got a write for xp x64 to convert to oem plz post.

    thanks for ur help.

The is NO Retail x64 SP2 I believe (at least I could not find it on MSDN site). There is only x64 Retail, or x64 SP2 VLK

So if you want to have Retail x64 SP2 I used
    - VLK x64 SP2 as base iso
    - get from Retail x64 the following files:

pid.dl_, pidgen.dll, dpcdll.dl_, setupreg.hiv, change setupp.ini to read xxxxxOEM, get winnt.sif (so you do not have to input key during install - use the only key that exists for x64 - MS own) and the oembios.* files for whatever SLP 1.0 string you have

Copy the files to the original iso, save, burn, install, activated

Or use trial + delta to make original media, and also this delta

    Into the I386 folder

how to convert them to ex. oembios.bi_ ?

Put the 4 files into a folder.
Create a textfile in the same folder and copy paste the following into it:
    save as makecab.cmd and execute.

Even better copy your makecab.cmd to SendTo folder then just select the files and sendto makecab.cmd saves you copying the cmd file to other folders if you need to:D

You have ALL in the download, but the oembios.* files

Just have a look at original CD, it is easy to compare....

You can always use Virtualbox to test the iso, or even better Vmware Workstation with nicely modified BIOS (look in Virtualization forum)

Or burn a CD & test it (in worse case you going to "lose" 10 cents if CD is made wrongly, all in the name of learning....)

You can modify VirtualBox Configuration file to "fake" SLP 1.0 bios strings, it just involves editing a xml file, no BIOS modding needed.

Can you please post a snapshot of your winnt.sif
It would never ask for a product key if you did it correctly.
