Want to do Anytime Upgrade for Win 7 Home Basic.

    should be good after u let it do its thang and reboot ,no?

    Yes i used that key which failed to work......that was my problem, thanks for correcting.

    For oem-slp licensing scheme, the slic and certificate must match, but any key that matches the windows edition will work. OP may want to run mgadiag to verify he is correctly licensed in the oem-slp channel. If so, and if the Dell key he tried indeed fails at anytime upgrade, he might try another ultimate key (Acer, HP, ...)

    You can not perform windows edition upgrades using the dvd, only reinstalls.
