I've been running OEM flawlessly for over a year now, but a few days ago I decided to update XP Mode (USB controller driver was absent for some reason). This made me install WAT, and Windows doesn't think it's genuine any more. I have an HP OEM bios, without any extra bootloaders. So I have absolutely no idea how WAT determines that Windows isn't genuine. I tried RemoveWAT, I tried Daz's loader (uninstall-reboot-install), I tried sfc /scannow. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WAT. Nothing helps. Please help! Wow. That really worked, even though (I forgot to mention) I tried WATFix before. Looks like all I needed to do is validate here: microsoft DOT com/genuine/validate/DownloadValidationSupport.aspx?displaylang=en It stopped nagging me! Just for future reference, microsoft DOT com/genuine/ doesn't have the word "validate" anywhere on the page, I got the link that I posted above by doing a google search.
