I purchased Pro, but instead of installing I waited for a few weeks to see how things went with it. I finally took the plunge and did a clean install, loaded up all my drivers and games, it took less than 20 minutes to BSOD and the installer to stop working so I couldn't install anything. I'm back on 7, they can keep it.. looks like I paid money to put a webpage on my computer.. never again..
find out where you can contact Microsoft in your country - write an email/phone call with proof of purchase and claim your money back - if you insist and hint that you'll have a legal team look at it, I'm sure you'll get your money back in no time !
User: I will bring my legal team into this matter for my refund. MS: Bring it on. And we will see who has the deeper pockets!
Are you really whining that you lost out on how much... $15, $39? Resell or give your licence to a friend or member of your family.
Really don't understand the reaction of the OP after just not able to install Windows 8. I hardly believe that MS is to blame, more likely the OP! In cases like this the user should first check his system is meet the requirements of Windows 8. If so, maybe a BIOS update is in order and, and, and! The only time I had problem with installing Windows 8 were on an ASRock Fatal1ty MB (one of the latest ASRock MB's) with UEFI Bios which was need an upgrade to the latest version. I wouldn't just give up, first take a look at my own machine which will be the source of the problem.
no matter, hey everyone has to learn what win8 likes and dont like when you get to tweaking on it.. this has come out pretty good so far... i45.tinypic. com/bj0vk.jpg funny but this little app seems to make a start button appear.. app windows-7-start-button-changer-released 2.6
You did not buy a Pro. You bought a Pro Upgrade and you should go through the procedure to install through the Upgrade Assistance.
