    k, and SLP (system locked preinstallation) is just the concept.. SLIC is the physical implementation of it on the motherboard?

    ie: there is no difference between SLP and SLIC. it is the same thing, correct?

    Not at all the same (concept is the same - OEM licensing, but implementation is quite different).
    SLP is just a text string in BIOS (somewhere) or in DMI area

    SLIC is the whole (one of) ACPI tables and it is BINARY
