I've been reading this for about 20 minutes and I'm not sure exactly what they do. It would be nice to know exactly what they do because I have this OEM Lenovo Motherboard I want to fiddle around with and I want to make sure what I'm doing is worth it.

That all depends on what Type of Modification you make.
A SLIC Mod adds SLIC info for Windows into the BIOS.
Some people Update Older BIOS with Newer option ROMS, some simply Unlock Hiddent Menu Items, etc., etc.

Well, I'm probably looking for hidden menu items, probably something that'll let me do some overclocking (Unlock / change DRAM:FSB really). I assume that this isn't the place to get something like that if it doesn't have them hidden already.
