I did an upgrade from Windows 7. I want to clear out all the crap in C: but not delete any of it - I am going to move it to another disc so if I need it, I can get it back.

I see Windows.old - I can move that. But I also see a ~BT folder and a ~WS folder both of which come to 13GB. Do I need those where they are?

I want to move them because I have a small SSD, and believe the extra space might help the drive.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

Be careful, you have disabled the "Hide file system protected files and folder" box in the folder options.
For sure I should not delete the following files or folders, use Google before deleting anything:
    $Recycle.Bin
    bootmgr
    BOOTNXT
    Documents and Settings [C:\Users]
    hiberfil.sys
    pagefile.sys
    PerfLogs
    Program Files
    Program Files (x86)
    ProgramData
    Recovery
    swapfile.sys
    System Volume Information
