I've never tried this, what happens if I have OneDrive installed on 2 systems....

    I edit a file called example.txt on system 1.......

will that same file edit reflect on the 2nd system? would the file name be the same or would it have a diff. name?

OneDrive is supposed to be installed on multiple systems, that's what it is designed for..!
If not, the cloud would be useless, and sharing would not be possible this easy.
If you have set it to synchronise the files will be identical in content and name.

only thing you need to do with however many systems is be all logged in using the same MSA. then they all go to the same one drive.
