I'm still using FFox just because I can use Adblock in it, I wait for plugins capacity in Edge to switch to it
..........and I won't be changing from FF while when first opening have 24 pictures of my favourite sites and just click on the one I want.
Personaly have used Toolkit v3.6 to strip down my Pro Iso so Edge is gone from my computer so I can't say that I miss anything in edge and I don't realy miss edge either
I don't miss anything in Edge because I didn't and wouldn't use it at now, and later on only if it get's the same advantage at least as Chrome have already! It's also disabled in all of my Windows 10 Machines!
hi I use more Edge &'m satisfied. Lack quite sure anti plishing see more Adock and tratucteur as in IE11 etc. if not very fluid WIKI
feel as good as in chrome x64, which is better than ffox x64 if guess Edge will catch up these a.m. when it'll allow plugins, especially adblock
I use chrome now, have no plans of using Edge, but if everything keeps going as they are, we may not have choice (Forceware).
When Edge will have the features of IE, I will consider using it. At present i use Chrome; however i have a html page with javascript displaying many frames which is not correctly rendered by Chrome, and only FF prints it correctly.
What I miss most in Edge is a decent web browser that won't give me malware. The best use of any microsoft web browser is to download any non-microsoft web browser, then kill the microsoft browsers with fire never to be used again.
That would be a huge mistake on MS's part to block the use of third party browsers. I don't see how they could get away with it. Millions would be screaming bloody murder.
Not even needed for that. You can download Opera from their ftp using the file explorer, then use Opera to download Vivaldi or any other decent browser
I think it was just after XP came out when I first used windows explorer to download something using ftp and it totally screwed it up. Windows explorer took forever to load after that so I removed any trace of the link I used from the registry and it fixed the problem. I guess that's why I forgot you could do that. I'll give it another shot next time since surely they've fixed that bug by now. Thanks for the tip.
Yes. The file explorer isn't the best ftp client ever, even today, but the recent version is enough to do basic things. Anyway the above way is a life safer on dirt PCs, with where only Explorer is installed, with the consequent impossibility to download antivirus, antispywares, alternate browsers and other tools. A typical scenario when a friend/client asks suddenly to fix his PC and you're not prepared with usbkeys, dvds or a second PC.
Always have been an IE user then when Windows 10 came out tried using Edge and finally switched over to Chrome. Edge is missing way too many features and I find to have issues with many websites. I tried in every way to keep using Edge, MS seems very slow in addressing our feedback in the lack of features and stability.
