i see lot of ppl are using windows photo viewer besides me. thing is its kind of outdated now. like before it just annoyed me that i had to manually rotate most photos since windows photo viewer does not honor the exif orientation info in an image file, or that the colors looked washed out because its not color managed, but now it wont even open certain photos! i get "Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because there might not be enough memory available on your computer. Close some programs that you aren't using or free some hard disk space (if it's almost full) and then try again." because apparently some new jpg files come with icc profile metadata that the old windows photo viewer doesnt recognize. so yea we definitely need to upgrade to a better image viewer btw if you voted Other please comment what youre using
I still use AcdSee Classic 2.43 because unfortunately nothing else I tried, which includes everything in this poll, does the basic image viewing as well as this ancient app. In comparison everything else is either slow, clunky (in some aspects), buggy, or all of the above. I do also use IrfanView because by now AcdSee is missing support for some file types that became relevant after its release (raw formats and webp for example).
