    S--Software

    L--Licensed or licensing (semantics)

    I--Internal or Information (semantics)

    C--Code

Read for more "jargon", because that is all that can follow for a more in depth description..:D:D

Seriously though, all the information you need and much more is here in the forum..look at the stickies in the Vista forum..:D:D

so windows has a "string" and BIOS has a "string" and these two strings have to be matched in order to activate windows, right?

and if so, why we don't change the windows string so it match the BIOS string?
because form what I understand you are changing the BIOS string

    and how VistaLoader works?

Because the bios usually doesn't have that string until it is manually added.

You must match the 'windows string' = certificate
It is encrypted and hashed with a private key that only Microsoft owns.
    Impossible to do.

Bioses usually DO have SLIC tables (especially the bioses from notebooks that came with Windows Vista preinstalled).
