What is the best Download Manager?

D/L Manager

I use Hidownload Manager and it works well for me. Not sure if there is a key available for the latest version, but version 7.81 works fine with Windows 7. I used to like Flashget, but no luck with Windows 7. I am not an expert, so will be interested to hear what they use.

 

Hm, I have to confess: none.

I used to like Flashget, too, but that's a loooong time ago.

 

I use IE7 pro and that has a download manager in the package

The older version, 1.93 works fine with Windows 7, i get about 2mb per second in uni from RS

 

i had serious performance problems with downthemall, so I recommend Flashget, the classic old version v1.73 which has no torrent support etc.

 

Internet Download Manager

 

Used to use FlashGet with FlashGot plugin for a very long time.

Couple of years ago i switched to DownloadHelper (media stuff) and DownThemAll (all other stuff).

Never looked back.

 

Yes that is my fav still use to this day

 

i tried FDM (free download manager) recently and it seems quite good, has a lot of support for other stuff like torrents, video, site explorer, ftp
its seems a bit like flashget, only its free

 

I just tried Flash get 3 and it didn't work with the ISO I was trying to download from MS with the new Windows Home Server beta however the internet download manager did....
I agree its better....

 

Me too suggest Internet Download Manager Only,i really like its speed.

2) orbit downloader

 

what about filehost downloading, i know of JDownloader and Orbit, are there any others

 

Internet Download Manager. I like that when you watch Youtube videos a "Download Video" button appears on top off them.
