IDM for paid, and EagleGet for free options. There are many options to choose between. For youtube videos, I use this addon; video download helper.
Jdownloader 2 though its beta it's beta like gmail beta was, works fine and been beta for over a year. firefox addons: video download helper. ant.com video downloader
Jdownloader 2 cannot be beaten. For free software it has excellent support, just like yesterday when there was a problem with an update loop. Within several hours of being notified of the problem it was fixed. And it doesn't hurt to make a contribution since there are no ads or other obnoxious items other than a contribute tab that doesn't affect the usage and goes away after you contribute something.
EagleGet. Its free, no ads and very nice UI. Downloads everything at maximum speed and also there is a portable version. I have it portable and use it only for large files because of the speed and the possibility of pause the download, for all the others files I use chrome.
It is a very good downloader indeed but has issue with Google Chrome and it sometimes crashes. If not, it is just the right competitor with Internet Download Manager.
Xtreme Download Manager asks to install its certificate in order to download Youtube videos. I find this strange. So uninstalled it. XDM Windows version
There are two possibilities, paid and free. After many years I decided that a paid Downloadmanager is (other than a good VPN) the ONLY Software worth paying for. And there, IDM is the one. Everyone who knows his way around this subject will confirm. A great instrument, not perfect, there are some sites it will not work on, but on those, nothing works. Even though IDM is worth its money, here is a secret, do not tell anyone! I wrote them that $30 is bit expensive... and they forwarded me to a site where it will cost only $20. And it worked. It is a lifetime license... remember, this never means YOUR lifetime, it means THEIR lifetime. I bought it a few years ago and being a stingy bastard, I still never regretted it. Do some research, I did post the cheap website here, I think it was on the free-give-away thread. (I have no connection to the site, so I am not selling anything, this is simply my experience.....)
I've found that Ant video downloader work well for me as an add on for Firefox, I leave it disabled until I need it
False positive, ESET detects it due to the installer used, it may present the user with 3rd party apps, or an adware.
mipony has a adware viruses.. I check on malware-bytes Anti-spyware did report and also BitDefender, Norton, and other anti-virus I had scan the mipony is actually shows virus adwares during installations and running application. I use FlashGet 3 Freeware and they have Full Version of FlashGet can be found serial# or Keygen to do that.
