What Is The Best Encryption Software That You Recommend

    Hi
    Can someone advise which is the best encryption software to use
    I dont want to encrypt a full drive just certain files or folders
    but if there is a prog that does it all would be helpfull

    please advise on free version or pay version an all in one would be good

    Thanks for all the info been to each of the suggestion & download them
    AxCrypt and it's very useful
    But as anybody use Universal Shield 4.3.1 a friend advise me to give it a try
    Just wondering if any advice on this

    Truecrypt is great. Among the paid versions, I've used FolderLock and it works great too.

    I will recommend winrar, the encryption technology used till date.

    true krypt is good.....
    Winrar is a clever choice....
    Myself I use folder lock 6.4.2.....
    It is very good to hide and lock out your personal data....safely....

    I know this seems kinda lol but since you only want to encrpt certail files/folders have you tried the built in encryption file system in windows? It will allow you too the files on your computer but if someone steals your HDD and put it in their computer they will not even be able to see the files/folders. I know it might not be as good as 3rd party tools but it will do the trick if that is what you need it for.

    Easy & simple & strong -- Encryption Wizard, at spi.dod.mil/ewizard.htm. Coming from the Air Force Research Lab it can be trusted more that freeware from a lesser-known source.

    I would say truecrypt as well, but only for what you are wanting to do, apparently if you use truecrypt to encrypt a HDD drive - it can be bypassed. I read it somewhere deep in the net, not sure if id be able to find the website / programs that do the bypass again but idk, haven't looked.

    And another +1. Really great software. I love good and free softwware :) I also use securencrypt.com for mobile, mail, sms and files but this one is not free.
