    nodnar is right. Firefox has multi-threading that you can't turn off.
    In Win 7, it leaves threads running (A royal PITA)

    I've been using brave. Because of the Chrome video API, I use chrome when communicating with the VA hospital.

    :rofl: WAPS! (I'm italian-American...I can laugh)

    Favorite is Opera Legacy (12.6), but time has not aged it well in terms of connectivity, but it still when I can use it, is the most comfortable to use.
    To play I like xombrero, just because it is different, but also alas, no longer developed/supported.

    For the must haves to do online banking and that sort of thing, I default to Palemoon, though Otter browser is starting to mature nicely, and may soon be the go-to.

    Using Duck Duck Go in Android with chrome disabled and Chrome on Chrome OS. Linux I use Firefox and if I have the misfortune to be forced to use windows 10 then I use Edge which is just Microsoft's way of saying we give up lol.

    TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (0x9c) WEAK

    In my user.js i've put these two prefs in but ssllabs still shows two red ones .

    user_pref("security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128_sha", false);
    user_pref("security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_256_sha", false);

    @ Firefox

    Why is mozilla killing firefox ?

    It used to be the scene favorite and now it has 7 % of browser users . A few months ago they made 70 people jobless and now they're going to get rid of another 250 workers ...... wich is 25 % of their workers ...... and are looking for ways to make money .

    https://www.computerbase.de/2020-08/firefox-entwickler-mozilla-viertel-mitarbeiter/

    It is and was very very CPU intensive and instead of fixing that i now have 5 tabs open but the taskmanager shows firefox running 10 times !!!
    It phones home ........ before its even finished installing ....... and before i even turn the net on
    It forces unsafe cyphers
    It keeps changing options settings when i update it
    It keeps changing prefs.js when i update it
    Its bloated . For example who needs / uses developer tools , sync , pocket ?
    New addons take ages to get aproved

    The management needs a brain transplant ...... They've done more damage than malware ...... or are they working for microsoft ?

    The only problem firefox has and has had is bad management .

    The only thing a browser needs is to be as safe as possible , as fast as possible and use as few resources as possible .

    respectfully suggest to give u-light a try..not a resource hog, does not phone home as far as i noticed,
    and plugins work, usually.
