Hey everyone, ive been using virtual drives for years now. Today I decided it was time to wipe the PC and start new, I was using Slysoft Virtual Clone Drive because it is lite and does not use SPTD. I was on daemon tools lite, but that was just killing my drives performance. I am looking for something lite, that again does not use SPTD. My question is, what are you guys all using that you like best? Thanks in advance!
I like Daemon Tools Lite, but WinMount is a good alternative. It's light-weight and mounts a wide number of file formats. www winmount com/
PowerISO beacuse I dont want to use 2 diff. softwares (1 for creating isos & 1 for mounting) And it works just fine.
Yup, Slysoft's Virtual Clone Drive is awesome. Free, lightweight, spyware free unlike Daemon Tools lite. Allows command line mounting/unmounting just like Daemon Tools too. If I need a virtual burner, like on a netbook in order to "make" an ISO of the recovery disc, Virtual CD is the best!
Check out the new version of daemon tools, the new version has the option to exclude the SPTD during install (you may need to uninstall it first).
Daemon Tools Lite is what I use for every day mounting. It's free, bloatware non-existent and very easy to use. I use either Nero or ImgBurn for the rest.
