What Linux should I install?

    I bought a laptop (MSI GX60 3BE) last month and i tried to install Linux 14.04 on it. There was a problem with the graphic card that finally I resolved. But after that, I had another problem. The batery lasts 30 minutes, more or less (I used W7 too and the battery lasts at least 3 hours in a moderated use).

    What Linux should I install or how can I fix this problems? I always use Windows and now I want to prove something new.

    Please help and sorry about my english!

    Are you a beginner or somewhat in a middle term of knowledge?

    Lets say I am a beginner/noob :) .
    What Linux OS should I try out 1'st of ALL ?

    Linux Mint Cinnamon if you come from windows, best linux for a windows user.

    Mint Cinnamon is great..:biggrin:

    I just don't like its logo (inartistic) .:negative:

    And its start button :puke:

    I just wish I could change that :rolleyes::cool:
