Hi, I've done a clean install on my son's laptop as it was no longer bootable and couldn't do the upgrade thing.
I installed it without a serial and I'm just wondering what restrictions apply to an unactivated copy.

From what users have said so far, just a watermark (that you always see, unless in a full screen videogame or whatnot) and cannot Personalize (change wallpaper/taskbar colors)

    Mine isn't activated

The watermark shows up only sometimes on the background, I can personalise whatever I like, and it just says it's not activated in settings

Edit: Odd, I can't now. Yet I already have changed the lock screen, background and taskbar colours. Did this only come into effect midnight last night?

Edit2: Actually, it still works, just for a certain time after each restart, then it realises and locks up again.

Have you noticed that some of the Universal apps do not work?
