What to use when editing bios on a HP DM4???

    I have some problems with adding a new wifi card for my HP dm4-1165dx and because i dont know what stock card it had (found it in the dumpster on my workplace) im gonna try unlocking the laptop my self.. :)

    I have these 2 bios to work with..

    What tools can i use to edit these bioses?

    To decompile / recompile the EFI use andyP's tool: http://forums.mydigitallife.net/thr...eplace-SLIC-in-Phoenix-Insyde-Dell-EFI-BIOSes

    You'll find the modules in the dump folder.
    To hexedit you need a hexeditor such as winhex.
    To reverse code, to find the restrictions (whitelist checks), you need a Disassembler like IDA pro.

    To just find some present card ID's andy's tool shows up some of them...or just search for Intel vendor 8068 (byte sequence 8680)....or for other popular vendor IDs...
    Newer HP EFIs are RSA encrypted which might cause issues later....cannot have a look at yours here atm...

    thx guys..
    Have been working with andyp's tool all day, but i cant really find out what to do next..
    I found the "hex code" for stock network card and i can find the one for the new fast.. But is it possible to unlock network card on bios an easy way?
    I really dont need to do anything els right now.. Im gonna use this laptop as my carpc so i only need to unlock the network card so i can install my new one with the needed bluetooth module.. :)
