My friend wants to connect his barn to his home's Modem/Router combo. He ran an ethernet line from the modem/router combo to the barn. What does he need to purchase for the barn to connect to the cameras wirelessly? I know it's not another router and I never had any luck with them repeaters. Do I need a hub or what device will make this work when he has the ethernet cord at the barn ready to hook up to something? Any links to what product you think is good for this would help. Thanks.

I have done some reading and viewing some youtube videos on how to set up this access point.
This is a simple connect the access point to the main modem in his house and then to give internet to his cameras in the barn.
Do I need to disable DHCP in the access point router? Most videos I didn't see them do this but read other places you need to disable it? Thanks.

Best is to set it to bridged, but if it has the option to be setup as AP, it should go to bridged mode, then all connections get the IP addresses from the main router.
